T.J. was selected due to having many qualities that coincide with the aspects that the Hobey Baker Character Award stands for. His character has never been in question, working his way from our fifth line years ago up to our second line this year, all while keeping a positive attitude and demeanor throughout. The same can be said about his sportsmanship as he was always a class act and managed to lead the team in fewest penalties taken. On and off the ice, TJ is a leader in the way he goes about his business and someone that our underclassmen can look up to for guidance. The thing that sets him apart is the amount of volunteer work that he has undertaken throughout his high school time. Whether it was volunteering with the junior Rangers programs, helping deliver unused leftover school food to People to People or the various many fundraisers and events that he helped in while in the Clarkstown South Assets Leadership program, TJ was always able and willing to give back in some way. Due to all of these factors, we feel strongly that TJ is more than deserving of being our Hobey Baker Character Award winner for the 2024 – 2025 season.
