Countdown to Hobey:

Ryan Elenich

2024 | Michigan | BOYS

Farmington United Varsity Hockey | Farmington United | BOYS

Ryan Elenich is the graduating captain of Farmington United and held the honor in both his junior and senior seasons with the program (2021-2023).

Ryan is not only an exceptional ice hockey player but a true ambassador of the program and the community of Farmington-Farmington Hills. Ryan competed with Michigan Legacy Hockey and Total Package Hockey programs in the off-season competing against top competition from across the country. Many of these showcases and tournaments took him to Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and all over Michigan.

Ryan wore the C with pride and left a great impression on the program and the underclassmen he captained. Ryan is currently the all-time points leader with 104 points in just 46 games played. Our program combined two former school programs into one in the 2018-2019 season, Ryan is the first played since then to hit the 100 Career Point mark. Ryan finished the 2023-2024 Regular season 4th in the entire state of Michigan with 70 points and finished first in the Oakland Activities Association.

In addition to his success in hockey, Ryan was an active volunteer for non-profits and community initiatives with partners such as Another Day Resource Center (501 c3), The Goodfellows, and Forgotten Harvest. Ryan plans to play for a junior team in the 2024-2025 season before making his decision on which college/university he plans to attend.

We believe Ryan’s character will continue to build excellence wherever his feet land as he continues to progress forward in his future. Ryan Elenich assisted the coaching staff exponentially in creating a healthy and positive culture at Farmington United. Ryan’s success on the ice and in the community has laid the groundwork for future student-athletes to follow in his footsteps.
