Owen has been HHS hockey captain since he was sophomore. During both his freshmen and sophomore year the HHS team won 3 games, but Owen continued to stay positive with his teammates and push them in the off-season to skate and lift. As a junior and with a coaching change, Owen led his team to a 13-9-0 record and the sweet 16 berth in the state tourney. Hudson only plays 3 defensemen and Owen was rated the 17th defensemen by Neutral Zone hockey in the state of Massachusetts. Hudson is currently 6-0-1 in the early season this year.
Owen was also a two-year captain and a two-way player for the HHS football team which recently captured the division 6 state title in football here in MA. Owen was named Defensive Players of the Year in Central Mass and will participate in the Central Mass all-star game in the spring. Owen has also recently committed to playing football at Salve Regina University in Newport RI.
Owen has done several community activities helping with youth football and learn to skate programs just to name a few. Owen is deeply involved with his senior class with fundraising activities for community projects (ie: food bank). Owen consistently volunteers his time for the schools Booster Club working the snack bar at sporting events, supporting fundraising activities and generally there when needed by officers of the Booster Club.
