Simply put Mya is an excellent communicator, respectful, and has a passion for the sport of ice hockey. When she is not in school, playing ice hockey, and working, she can be found on the ice rink as an ice hockey official for the local youth hockey program. Mya is one of two seniors on this years team, her greatest attribute is when she is frustrated she is able to use her communication skills to work through the frustrations and lead her team. As a senior Mya knows her limitations and abilities, she does an excellent job recognizing the talented young players on this years team. Not something all seniors are willing to do. Mya’s greatest attribute is she has a huge heart and is a caring person. She is very deserving of this award.
