Countdown to Hobey:

Luke Londo

2025 | Michigan | BOYS

Novi Varsity Ice Hockey | Wildcats | BOYS

In alignment with the values of the Hobey Baker H.S. Character award, we believe Luke Londo exemplifies the type of character that makes the game better and those who play with and against him. Luke Londo is a graduating captain of the Novi Varsity Ice Hockey team and was a part of the leadership group his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons and played all four seasons of high school hockey from 2021-2025.

Luke has exceptional leadership skills and his character is one of the most noble from a high school student-athlete of his caliber. This season, Luke was the highest scoring defenseman in the state of Michigan high school hockey with 50 pts in 25 regular season games played and scored a total of 6 points in 2 playoff games. Luke finished his varsity career with 110 points in 99 games played.

What’s most impressive is the work he puts in away from the spotlight, how he treats his teammates, and how he carries himself as a leader and driver of the team. He is the voice of the locker room when something needs to be said and he’s the one to echo the messaging from the coaching staff in hopes to reach his peers in times when messages may be sent but not received.

Luke isn’t one to be boastful in his accomplishments and certainly is never one to show poor sportsmanship after a win or loss. Its understood that not one individual is perfect and neither is Luke, that’s the beauty in growing and developing in our roles whether that be in our personal life, profession, academics, hobbies etc. In saying all of that, we believe Luke’s weaknesses never seem to show because he’s constantly working on strengthening those areas as he works toward perfection. Many young athletes lack the maturity to own their mistakes, dissect those same mistakes and work through critiques and practice through the mistakes in order to correct them.

In addition to his success in hockey, Luke carries a 3.85 GPA was an active volunteer for non-profits and community initiatives with partners such as Another Day Resource Center (501 c3), Miracle League of Plymouth, State Fair volunteering, and our community’s youth development hockey program.

Luke aspires to play hockey after high school and is still considering all of his options before deciding which path to take next.

Luke’s character will continue to build excellence as he makes his way into the next chapter of life. Luke left an amazing legacy at Novi Hockey and we’re looking forward to not only the accomplishments he will earn in the days to come but also in the lives of those he impacted along the way.
