Jenna Jones is a once in a coaching career kind of kid. She is someone who is exceptional in every category. Jenna currently holds a 4.08 GPA at Stevens Point Area Senior High School. She is involved as the treasurer of her senior class. Jones is a multisport athlete being part of the state track 4×400 team and girls soccer. She helps in the community, volunteers, and has great energy to make an impact.
Jenna works out in and out of season when workouts are not required by a coach. Her determination, will power, and passion are major strengths of her character. Her teammates know she is reliable, consistent, and dependable on and off the ice. Jenna has been a 3 year captain of the WVU team and the way she treats others with respect and empathy is impressive beyond her age.
She is also the captain of her Team Wisconsin AAA hockey team. Her skills, hockey IQ, leadership make her a complete package. With Jones’ high skill level she has played F and D for us and puts the team first with the way she approaches the game. Jenna leads by example but is also very smart and can use this on and off the ice. She has been accepted into UW Madison College and plans to pursue Neurobiology (pre-med). There has never been a doubt that Jenna would never commit an action that would jeopardize her eligibility.
Her ability to talk calmly to referees in the heat of the moment and command the troops in and out of the locker room is top notch. It is tough to imagine our program without her daily presence. I may not be able to explain or put into words how great Jenna Jones is but I know she belongs in the conversation for this award. Jenna Jones has top notch character and I give her the biggest recommendation I can.
