Gus made his overdue return to ice hockey in this, his senior year of high school, a highly consequential player on and off the ice, a proven natural leader and ferocious defender of his team mates.

Even as we lament Gus’ departure and that of our beloved seniors, who will be known and remembered forever as founding members of this team, we feel fortunate to have had them for this inaugural season, we acknowledge and are grateful for all that they leave behind, especially the jolly warrior ethos, fraternity, unity and commitment, that will endure long after Gus and all of the founding members have graduated Christopher Columbus high school.
