I am writing to recommend Evan Paluzzi for the Hobey Baker High School Character Award. As the head coach of the Foxboro Warriors, I’ve had the privilege of watching Evan grow not only as a hockey player but also as a leader on our team.
Evan has always been a reliable and dedicated player. His commitment to the game and respect for his teammates have been evident from day one. This season, Evan faced an unfortunate shoulder injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the year. While many players might have stepped back and disengaged, Evan continued to show up every day with the same dedication.
Even though he couldn’t play, Evan supported the team in every way possible. He attended all practices and games, offering encouragement, guidance, and leadership to his teammates. His presence on the bench and in the locker room made a significant impact. Evan’s ability to stay positive and help his teammates stay focused, even through challenging times, truly speaks to his character.
It’s because of his dedication, positive attitude, and the example he set for others, both as a player and as a person, that I believe Evan is a deserving candidate for the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
