Cayden Landy, Is a senior Defenseman who has played for the WW/EWG Knight-Wizards all four years of high school. Cayden’s senior year he was named the Captain of the hockey for many reasons beyond his on ice talent. Cayden constantly plays the game with heart, passion and determination. Cayden is the type of hockey player that every coach looks forward to coaching. He as always held himself to a high standard even when times are tough. Going into his senior year as the captain of the team he was quite and not out spoken, a trait that is hard to overcome to lead a team in the right direction. This year Cayden has proved that he posses the leadership traits just like those that came before him guiding a very young team through a challenging year.

The Hobey Baker award is provided to a player that embodies the values that the game teaches – coachability, strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork, community building and outstanding sportsmanship. The WW/EWG coaching staff is excited to award Cayden as the 2024-2025 Hobey Baker Award recipient.
