Aiken embodies the virtues of Hobey Baker. He absolutely loves the game. He has to take a 30 minute bus ride each day just to get to practice. On this bus ride, he talks about the importance of teamwork and commitment with younger players. Our numbers are down a bit this year. As a two year captain, Aiken has volunteered to play a period of JV in order for us to get all of our kids some playing time. He understands that our program cannot continue to grow if guys don’t get game time. We do not have access to summer ice in our small communities. Our team meets once a week in another community. Aiken makes sure that younger players get there for our summer practices. He has also committed to an off-season workout and shooting program that has enhanced his game considerably. I’m so proud of Aiken’s maturity and leadership qualities. All of our players look up to him. He is genuinely a great person!
