Stella is a young lady that is the embodiment of the Hobey Baker Character Award. Since she entered the varsity program as a 9th grader, she has been a tenacious, relentless, and fearless competitor for our hockey team. She is the type of player that brings up the energy level of every practice, based on how hard she is working. Stella has also been a selfless teammate throughout her years in the high school program. She has been an integral part of both our penalty kill and power play units, playing outside her position in order to better help the team. Not only has she played out of position on special teams, but she has also switched positions to help the team in times of need throughout her career. Stella’s hard work and commitment were reflected in her unwavering drive to get better during the offseason, rarely missing any opportunities to better herself as a player and person. Her hard work, discipline, and desire to bring the best out in others, is also reflected in her post secondary path of pursuing a degree in nursing. Stella is not only a tremendous hockey player, but also a tremendous person, and that is why she is very deserving of receiving the Hobey Baker Character Award.
