Nolan fits the award criteria very well. Nolan has always shown great respect for the game. While he was not gifted as being one of the most skilled players he was always among the hardest working players. Always trying to be better, always asking what he can do to improve his game to help the team first. Even when he had a much more minor role on the team in regards to playing time he showed up with a great attitude and never allowed that to discourage him. He always wanted what was best for the team. I think that speaks volumes about his character. On the ice and in the locker room he stood up for his teammates and did what was right. Nolan is a well deserved nominee.
