This year’s recipient, Christos Roagaris, embodies all of the Hobey Baker Award characteristics, especially when it comes to his character and love for the game. Beyond his contributions on the ice, Christos has made an impact off of it, helping out with the East Coast Jumbos—a special needs hockey program that gives kids a chance to play competitive hockey. We were lucky to have Christos make that connection by practicing with them and even playing in a mixed-team scrimmage.

This speaks volumes about his character seeing the bigger picture in life, giving back to the game, and leading with heart. His dedication, sportsmanship, and compassion make him the perfect recipient of this honor. He is also the youngest Captain I have ever had voted by his peers as just a Sophomore.
